About Us

The Baptist Student Ministry is a student organization on the campus of Texas A&M University - Commerce. Our focus is on Jesus Christ and His message of salvation to the world. The BSM is a place where students can find discipleship, worship, spiritual exploration and growth, leadership and service opportunities, and community. We exist to help students know and understand who Jesus is, grow in their relationship with him, and learn how to minister to others. We value learning God's Word, the Bible, and applying it to our lives as we grow closer to Him. Though we are not a church, the BSM is a great place to plug in at and pursue Jesus in community!

We believe that God has called us to live in a relationship with Him through His Son, Jesus. This life is possible through the sacrifice of Jesus and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Our love for God compels us to loves others and serve them in the name of Christ, following His model. Part of this service is to participate in the Great Commission, found in Matthew 28, to make disciples of all nations, starting with our campus and spreading to the ends of the earth.
