Abide

January 27-28

Abide is a prayer retreat at the start of every Spring semester that brings together BSMs from across the state. Come explore the beauty of Highland Lakes Camp and Conference Center and enjoy the guided prayer stations planned by our State Lead Team! There is no shortage of recreation options and gathering places for you to bond with BSM students from your own campus or others. Abide is whatever you need it to be due to its unstructured nature. Spend time alone in the prayer garden, work your way through the prayer experiences, or sit in on a teaching session led by BSM staff from across the state.

Go Now Missions

Summer Application Due February 2
Discovery Weekend February 10-12

This is the official mission sending organization of Texas BSM! GoNow’s goal is the mobilization of college students to reach their Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the Earth with the saving message of the Gospel. Spend anywhere from 10 days to a year serving on mission across the globe! GoNow has an extensive application process to help students figure out not where, but WHO God is calling them to. GoNow utilizes a variety of methods and talents to reach those who are lost, with the Gospel. From planting gardens in South Africa, to doing backyard bible clubs with Mission Arlington, to leading worship at an international church in NYC, GoNow offers trips that are guaranteed to have a place for anyone who God is calling to serve with them. Also, ask your BSM staff about the CMI program and the Go2 movement for after graduation!

Beach Reach

March 11-17

On the Island of South Padre, college students across the globe travel in hoards to the top party spot in the nation each year during Spring Break. Since 1980, BSM students have been responding to this unprecedented two weeks of their peers gathering by trying to meet both their physical and spiritual needs. Free van rides and pancakes are the means through which we’ve been able to connect with Spring Breakers each year, with prayer being our most powerful weapon. Thousands of college students have met Jesus during Spring Break through the faithfulness of their peers to go to them, to share the gospel, and to invite them to start a relationship with Jesus. We spend 6 weeks leading up to Beach Reach training our team in evangelism, preparing them for all the Beach Reach is, and praying over the island and those going down. Beach Reach is like no other mission trip you’ve ever been on, guaranteed!
